The Story:
Hola, Friend'o von Ultimos!
February is flying by, and it's nuts. Southern California has transformed into a green wonderland with all the recent rainfall. Feels like I'm living in a different country entirely. It's neat.
This is our first 'natural-processed' feature in many moons. Which is exciting! Since the cherries dry directly onto the beans after harvest (as opposed to the 'washed-process' where all that's removed day-of), you'll notice a pronounced berry vibe almost like Fruity Pebbles. This comes our way from producer Olman Aguilera Chaves in the Naranjo region of Costa Rica.
For most Naturals, we recommend that you 'stretch' it out a bit more than you typically might. Meaning, add just a tad more water (we usually go 15:1 parts water:coffee), this one feels just right around 17:1. Enjoy!
The Story:
Man, we've been excited to share this coffee for a few months now. It's been sitting patiently, waiting for the proper rotation in our all-star roast lineup. What a kind, patient bean! Anyway - if you've been around for long enough, you probably know that we absolutely love coffees from Nariño (it's hard not to). Some of the cleanest, sweetest, highest-quality batches each and every year. This one is no different!
Other things we love: how Latigo amigo Brian Stowell packs for long tours with your favorite bands. Check out our Q&A with Brian from a while back by clicking the piccie below.
