The Story:

So here's a first in Latigo's history: we're bringing back a coffee for round two. For those who've been around for a while, you might recall a certain trip to Baja in June of last year where we played around with "Arnaud." Well, we're heading back down this week and we'll once again be slingin' this lovely batch. If all goes well, your mug should smell of sweet caramel long after finishing a cup. This coffee is a total delight.

April 1, 2018 - Kenya "Nyeri Mugaga"

Region: Kenya - Nyeri
Featured Date: April 2, 2018
Tasting notes: Maple Syrup, Sparkling Citrus Drink
Altitude: 1600m
Processing method: Washed
Grade: AA
Varietal: Ruiru 11, SL 28
Recommended Brewing Ratio: 16:1

The Story:

What can we say? It was time for a bright African coffee. And truth be told, it's been kind of a while since we featured a Kenyan. This new batch from the Mugaga Farmers Co-Op is a total gut-punch of deliciousness - and a stark departure from the recent "chocolate vibes" thing in March. We tested it out on a recent bikepacking trip to Death Valley - it kept us alive.

New to this whole Latigo thing?
